I am a big fan of Pelikan's M1000 nibs and true to form this was another large nib, springy and wet. Writes flawlessly, no doubt in part due to the exceptional grinding skills of the in-house nibmeister here.
Got EF nib for m1000 because I couldn’t stand using the medium nib which was too wet and bleeding thru any normal paper. Now pen is usable
And getting inked up for last one month nonstop. Very fast shipping!
I purchased a Pelikan M-1000 with a medium nib.a few months ago. It wrote smoothly but the nib for me was too wide. I ordered a fine nib and asked that it write as smoothly as possible. I am pleased with the fine nib. It is juicy and writes at about a Japanese medium width. With the new nib M-1000 has become my signature pen..
I ordered Pelican Nib...Received email stating the F version was not in stock, giving me a choice of cancelling or waiting. I waited and a short-time later the nib arrived. Carefully packaged. Nib is great. A great price. I will be ordering other products in the future.
I have the Pelikan M1000the, M805 and the other two sizes of the Souverän line and the nib of the M1000 is my absolute favorite! It writes smoothly and gives a lot of ink to the paper. It’s also a little bouncy although it’s NOT a flex nib! That’s how I ruined my original nib and I needed a replacement…..
The price on the nib was the lowest I could find in a trusted store and the service and delivery was also impeccable.
Pelikan M1000 nibs (at somewhat tolerable prices) are rare to find in India. And EF is rarer. Appelboom had them listed in their FPD and with the 20% discount was just the best price I had ever seen. The nib writes beautifully though it is more of a Fine than EF - which was expected.
But more important was the service. My order went into backorder, and Appelboom agreed to change the address if there was a need (there was no need ultimately). They kept me upto date with the status of the order and double checked on the address when the order was ready to ship. More than the nib itself, the service is worth highlighting.
I couldn't find the replacement nib anywhere in India and sources were quoting months to restock. That is when I found Appelboom and ordered it in EF size. I received it much sooner than I thought. Thank you Appelboom!
