Monteverde Dakota

The Monteverde USA Dakota Collection draws inspiration from the iconic fuselage of the Douglas C-47 Skytrain, also known as the Dakota, which played a pivotal role in World War II. Released to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the war's conclusion on September 2, 1945, this collection honors the legacy of the Dakota aircraft.

The C-47 Skytrain was crucial during significant moments in WWII, particularly during the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944. As a key component of Operation Overlord, the Dakota transported thousands of paratroopers, including the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions, and delivered vital supplies to the troops landing in Normandy.
