Scribo Feel Graniglia Fountain pen

The new FEEL Graniglia and Verde Antico are inspired by material effects and colors of the late 19th century.

Graniglia (grit) is the generic denomination of stones or other substances reduced to small fragments used in technology and industry. The material is born thanks to the recycling of waste from marble and stone processing, bonded with cement, colored with natural oxides and mixed with water. Just like many dishes of traditional Italian cuisine, the grit tile was born as a poor man’s product. But the infinite possibilities of decoration with borders, the carpets that enrich the solid colors, have allowed and still allow to obtain floors of the highest quality that distinguish the most beautiful floors in Italy and in the world. Shades of grey, blue, brown and green distinguish the colors of this material and, combined with the platinum of the metal fittings, give life to the Scribo Feel Graniglia.

Green in particular, a color widely used in paintings, ceramics and glass in the same historical period, between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, which saw the birth of the artistic movement known as Art Noveau, is the protagonist of the Scribo Feel Verde Antico (antique green). The pen is enriched by platinum finishes that go well with the lighter intrusions of the fountain pen body. Verde Antico is obtained from the union of blue with desaturated yellow and a consistent component of gray inside. A soft shade, between aquatic and wild, which strongly recalls nature and which transmits serenity and harmony.

FEEL Graniglia and Verde Antico are also made in 219 pieces per color and are available with all SCRIBO nibs.

The body of the pen, which has the shape of the Doric column, is turned by hand from a solid bar. The cap, the barrel and the knob, characterised by a slight entasis (from the greek word εντείνω) that enhances the shape, describe a statuesque object with a neo-classical, elegant and timeless design. Even the nib-holder, before tapering to the classic circular section, is finished with a hint of facet that facilitates the handle and allows you to better manage the angle which you want to use the nib with.
