Snelle levering van de nib. De Nib schrijft erg fijn. Jammer dat de 1.1 (nog) niet in het zwart bestaat anders zou deze nog beter staan bij mijn rose vulpen!
I'm not very experienced when it comes to fountain pens, but I did find this nib much smoother than the (M) nib my Lamy AL-star came with. Perhaps the quality control isn't that good on those less expensive models? I wouldn't know. I went for a Black Broad. I changed the nib, with some help from scotch tape, when the Lamy AL was inked up. The process was fairly simple and not particularly messy.
I wish the Lamy AL came with this nib to begin with, or perhaps I was just unlucky. The nib my Lamy AL came with was quite scratchy. I'm glad I didn't wait too long with trying this one out.
As a left-handed user, I highly recommend purchasing the LH nib in addition to your fountain pen. It is super smooth; you never get the scratchy feeling that you often find when using a regular nib. It is durable and you can use it with most Lamy pens. Keep in mind that the LH nib is the same size as the regular M nib. You can not go any finer or thicker.
Lamy is a reliable brand, and their replacement steel nibs are no exception to the rule. In my experience, you can always count on their performance. Plus, they are very easy to remove and insert. This means you can have a set of alternative nibs (a fine, a medium, a broad...) for your preferred Lamy fountain pen.
The 1.1mm is my favorite Lamy steel nib. It's great for everyday use while giving your writing a bit of flair. I own five or six of these nibs and have never had a bad one. They all put down a beautiful line that shows off the ink but is also very legible. They are also good reverse writers. Great service from Appelboom. My package arrived safely in the US. Thanks!
Bought an EF nib to replace my Lamy Al-Star that came with an M nib. The black stainless steel EF nib I received wrote more like an F nib than an EF as it's a little wetter than I expected, but it was smooth so overall I am happy with it.
These nibs can be easily swapped out by sticking a bit tape on the nib, then pulling the tape with the nib out from the pen. This avoids accidentally damage to the nib when swapping them.
I bought F-nibs to replace to replace my M-nibs on the Lamy Safari. I like F just a little more than the M-nib.
They write really smooth, with a very nice line and inkflow.
