These steel Lamy nibs are a joy to use. They fit most Lamy fountain pens: Vista, Safari, AlStar, Scala… (except the Lamy the 2000) but the steel nib would look out of place on a Dialog3 or an Imporium! The italic nib is a straight cut nib. I have a 1.1 nib in a Lamy Scala and it gives my writing a pleasant character but the font is not so big as too look out of place at a meeting. The 1.9 nib (which I bought) is a broader line and therefore needs a bigger font. I use this size for writing/signing certificates. The Appelboom service is excellent.

De punt op mijn LAMY vulpen was perongeluk verbogen dus het was tijd voor een nieuwe. Gelukkig is een nieuwe punt niet duur, snel te bestellen en ook nog makkelijk te vervangen met behulp van een stukje plakband. De nieuwe punt schrijft zoals ik gewend ben, en de zwarte kleur staat prachtig bij mijn pen.

I ordered two extra fine nibs, one chrome, one black. They did take quite awhile to arrive over the ocean. These are to replace fine nibs on original ordered pens. They are easy to replace. Unfortunately they weren't flawless. Note, the chrome one is using Lamy blue, the black nib, Lamy black ink. The chrome extra fine nib writing line was close to the fine nib it replaced, more like a fine-extra fine nib. The black extra fine nib was good for the line thickness, I.e., extra fine, but very scratchy. A tyne adjustment fixed that, plus some nib tuning. In addition, some brass shim work was needed to improve the flow. If I did not have the tools, the black nib would not have been usable. Out of 10 I give the quality at most a 7. I did not expect much for price of the nibs, but believing Lamy quality control via it's marketing and reviews, I thought both extra fine nibs would have been closer in their performance to each other.

Got the extra fine in black, and it’s a great nib, the nib was easy to change and it’s not scratchy or dry. It still writes nice and wet with the ink I use. I also don’t see the black coat on the nib wearing down and I write a lot so I would say sturdy nib and worth the price

I've always had good experiences with Lamy nibs, which I find soft (I must note: I usually go for B nibs), and easy to change from one pen to the other. This was no exception.

I ordered some Lamy Z50 nibs for my Lamy Safari, Lamy Al-Star and Lamy Studio fountain pens.
It's a great feature for these pens that the nibs can be switched easily.
Without breaking the bank you can try what nib suits best for daily writing and for other purposes.
During writing, these nibs bring good value for money. They write pretty smooth and when looking at the writing on the paper it's clear what nib has been used, so there is a clear distinction between the nibs.
The design of the nibs are minimalistic which fits the brand.
Appelboom offered a good service so I am happy with the purchase.

This nib is for Lamy fountain pens only. Smooth writer with a little feedback. The best feature: it could be swapped on inked pens, does not have to be cleaned first. Lamy is reliable product.

Snelle levering van de nib. De Nib schrijft erg fijn. Jammer dat de 1.1 (nog) niet in het zwart bestaat anders zou deze nog beter staan bij mijn rose vulpen!

As a left-handed user, I highly recommend purchasing the LH nib in addition to your fountain pen. It is super smooth; you never get the scratchy feeling that you often find when using a regular nib. It is durable and you can use it with most Lamy pens. Keep in mind that the LH nib is the same size as the regular M nib. You can not go any finer or thicker.

Bought an EF nib to replace my Lamy Al-Star that came with an M nib. The black stainless steel EF nib I received wrote more like an F nib than an EF as it's a little wetter than I expected, but it was smooth so overall I am happy with it.

These nibs can be easily swapped out by sticking a bit tape on the nib, then pulling the tape with the nib out from the pen. This avoids accidentally damage to the nib when swapping them.
