A true classic. I love the timeless black and green stripes, but it’s the wonderfully soft, expressive nib that makes the M1000 so special. Large, elegant and beautifully balanced ✒️it has that unmistakable old-world Pelikan charm. A pen that feels every bit as special as it looks.

I got the BB nib as I love wet writers and generally love to see ink properties on paper.
This pen and nib combo did not disappoint. The nib wrote like a firehose right out of the box. No issues with baby bottom or tine alignment at all. Super smooth nib and absolutely gorgeous. The balance of the pen is also really good. Does not feel heavy in any direction. Perfectly good for long writing sessions.
Only drawback is Pelikan's decision to remove the see-through stripes. You can still kind of feel that the ink is running out when you see the firehose not pooling ink on the paper, but a way to know how much ink is left would have been nice.
As for the store, everything was exceptional. I got the pen at a really good price, and the BB nib is semi-rare. Item was shipped within a day of initial order even though the site stated "2 to 3 weeks". Everything was packaged with care and delivered to Ontario, Canada via DHL Express.
My Pelikan M1000 took about a month to arrive, so I'll admit I was a little anxious during the wait—but it turned out to be completely worth it. The BB nib is fantastic: wet, buttery-smooth, and it never skips, laying down a rich, broad line that makes writing a real pleasure. The wait tested my patience, but the pen more than made up for it.

The Pelikan Souverän M 1000, in the "Stresemann" striped green design, is a very impressive, majestic pen, when it comes to its size of the pen itself an the magnificent, 18 k gold nib. The writing experience is second to none. The nib is gliding smoothly over the paper. A real sensual joy. One of my favorite pens in the collection. In this class the Pelikan goes head to head with the Montblanc Meisterstück 149.
A true timeless collector piece that should be part of every high class pen collection. Thank you again.
Now i was afraid to buy this pen since everybody on youtube said this is a bit overboard in the size/handling departament, i must say that is true. However i adapted to the size in a couple sessions with my journal and actually learned to prefer it over my other regular midsize pens.
The nib is soo good! Super soft, super wet and super smooth, it really is amazing! It didnt had any flaws since i choose to have it tuned and smoothed by appelboom’s nibmeister.
Only flaw is there is no ink window, but o well, its no big deal to me.
Anyway this pen turned out to be a lovely, fun and super pleasurable pen and definetly will have a special place in my collection for the rest of my days.
Great item. Arrived (in the USA) in perfect condition. Engraved as ordered. I didn't want the nib tuned as I'm inclined to more feedback than less. As dozens, hundreds before me have noted: it's a large(ish) pen; flows ink more than the usual; and, yes, an EF nib like the one I bought writes nearly as a M nib. Overall, is gorgeous to look at, to hold, and write. The spring/bounce property of the nib does not influence how I write, as I tend to use extremely light pressure when writing cursive, but I can see how it might be different for someone else with a heavier hand.

Pen: For my hand this is perfect, the weight is exactly right, not too light nor overly heavy. The pen is a wet writer even for my EF nib compared to Japanese nibs (e.g. Sailor MF).
