This pen is identical, from what I can tell, to the 146 LeGrand with the difference between the two being the 146 is a piston filler and the 147 uses cartridges. It’s a great companion when your journeys involve pressurized airplanes. I only wish it was still available in the gold line.

This is a great fountain pen! The size is really comfortable, just a little bit smaller than the 149. In fact it is the same size as the 146 but then with cartridges. There is also room for one spare in the body which is a nice addition. The model is both classy as it is timeless. If you are in the market for a elite built writing accessory and understand what the brand stands for, buy it. Because as with all Montblanc’s it will always retain a certain value.
