This fountain pen goes anywhere. If my shirt has no pockets, it will easily fit in a pants pocket. I love the patina that develops as the brass tarnishes. The brass provides a nice heft to compensate for the small size. The pen needs to be posted in order to write comfortably, but it is a smooth writer overall.
I bought this pen half a year ago. It was my first ever fountain pen. Now, it has totally adapted to my hands (its patina). I write with it every day and it has a place deep in my heart. It's a durable, reliable and solid pen. It's quite heavy, but due to its weight you don't need to push the pen to write on paper, it writes by itself. A really fabulous and solid pocket pen and therefore highly recommended! :)
The Kaweco Brass Sport is a great daily writer and due to its sturdiness suitable to accompany you everywhere. Writes great. It is on the heavier side and the brass does give off a little bit of odeur on the hands, but this material will age beautifully. Highly recommended.
De Brass Sport is een van mijn favoriete pocket pennen. Schrijft fantastisch en is goed uitgebalanceerd. Maar wel zwaar dus dat is wel iets om rekening mee te houden. Deze pen is ook ontzettend goed bestand tegen, nou alles eigenlijk. Leuk om een pen te hebben die je zo in je tas kunt gooien zonder bang te zijn dat deze zal beschadigen. Vind de pen persoonlijk heel leuk combineren met de chroom retro clip.
Honestly out of all the pens I have purchased, Kaweco has never ceased to fail my expectations. They always exceed it.
I purchased this pen in a medium nib and it wrote like a charm outside the box. The extra weight due to the brass is what was missing from the pen versus the AL or normal models (in my opinion).
I would highly recommend you to purchase this pen if you like a pen that has some weight to it.
Nice heft to it. Really solid body. The way the body "plugs" into the cap is also pretty cool. Sits very securely. Great system of getting a full-size pen this way while otherwise getting a very small format. Nib is nothing special but does the job. You can a converter for the thing but unfortunately it's pitifully small and flimsy.
The heavy and classic brass sports model seems to be valuable when used as a Bnib to match its weight. Although it is a basic steel nib, there is no shortage of flow, and it feels like I am accumulating my own legacy as it is corroding with time. Of course, with citric acid, oxidized melt can be reduced.
