This is my first Diplomat fountain pen and I’m very impressed by the quality and smooth performance. I chose a stainless steel broad nib and have not had any problems with baby-bottom experience, dryness, skipping, or lack of ink flow. It writes very smooth and the feed keeps up with the nib. The pen’s weight is just right for my hand.

In regards to Appelboom, well, they’re great in customer service, they have very good prices, and they have a very good variety of products.

I loved the pen when I received it, and my appreciation for it has only grown stronger. Diplomat knows how to make a fine writing instrument without making their customers empty their life savings. Appelboom is a wonderful retailer to buy from.

I received my Excellence A Midnight Blue withing the last couple of weeks, and I am again impressed by Diplomat's quality. This is my third Excellence A and each one writes superb out of the box. I will be saving up for another one in the future, hopefully not too far down the road.
