How to fill the Waterman Hémisphère fountain pen

The Waterman Hémisphère can be filled with either ink cartridges or a converter. Here is how you fill the converter with bottled ink:

  1. Remove the barrel by twisting the grip section, revealing the converter inside.
  2. Twist the black plunger at the end of the converter counterclockwise to let the air out.
  3. Dip the nib into the bottle of ink and twist the plunger back to draw up ink through the nib and fill the converter with ink.
  4. Take the pen out of the bottle, let it drip and twist the plunger back to draw out a few drops of ink.
  5. Twist it back to let some air back into the converter, reattach the barrel and wipe any excess ink from the nib with a cloth.
