Ulpia 117 Ebonite Black and Brass Mira GT Fountain pen

The first exclusive edition of Ulpia is called the Mira series. Only made on special request, it has a two-tone 14K Gold nib plated in Platinum and Gold. The Ulpia 117 model is completely transformed to create a unique fountain pen.

The body of the fountain pen starts from a solid brass bar where three ovals open as a window, to observe the ink level of the converter. However, this characteristic detail increases its complexity as the windows are surrounded by transparent methacrylate, making the interior of the pen an isolated chamber and protecting the ink and its interior.

As time goes by, the polished surface of the brass will age and a new layer will form, which takes shape with the distinctive color of aged gold.

The Ulpia 117 fountain pen has the same sleek and elegant body design as the Ulpia Párix collection. It has a characteristic handcrafted threaded brass ring polished and plated in either palladium or 24 carat gold. 

The body and cap of the Ulpia 117 fountain pen is made of the best quality ebonite. Ebonite is vulcanized natural rubber known for its particular shine and warm touch, highly appreciated by collectors. It has been used in fountain pens since the late 19th century. The clip and threaded ring are made of solid brass and engraved with a diamond point, they are later hand polished and plated in either palladium or 24 carat gold.

The Ulpia 117 fountain pen is completely manufactured in Spain with a differentiating and unique design. All the Ulpia fountain pens have a hand engraved serial number.
