TWSBI Kai LE Fountain pen

The TWSBI Kai fountain pen is made of a dark blue flecked acrylic resin with an ink window to see the remaining ink level. The acrylic resin body is complemented by rose gold-plated metal details. The fountain pen has a rose gold-plated stainless steel nib, of comparable size to the TWSBI 580 nib. The cap can be posted, but this iss not recommended by TWSBI to avoid potentially scratching the barrel.

The TWSBI Kai is a limited edition and will not be produced ongoing.

TWSBI's belief is that it is important to allow the user to disassemble and reassemble the pen and completely experience the traditional aspects of owning and using a fountain pen. These pens also come packaged with a wrench and silicone grease. Neither of these accessories are intended to be used immediately, as they are for long-term care and maintenance. Additionally, please use extra care if you choose to disassemble the nib and feed, as the feed is very fragile.

TWSBI fountain pens can be entirely disassembled for the purposes of cleaning and servicing. Instructions and necessary tools are supplied with each TWSBI fountain pen. Please note that the disassembly feature is only there for experienced users and is not necessary for daily use. Disassembly is at your own risk!

With a history of more than 40 years of manufacturing, including producing high-end pens for other brands, Ta Shin Precision decided to start selling under their own brand, TWSBI. The name TWSBI is made up from TWS and BI. ‘TWS’ is the reversed initials of the phrase ‘San Wen Tong’, translated Hall of Three Cultures, and ‘BI’ literally means writing instrument.
