The Taccia Rei-en fountain pen is a lacquer fountain pen that expresses the state of relaxed waves with a mother-of-pearl. Mother-of-pearl is a technique in which mother-of-pearl such as abalone shells and luminous shells are cut out and decorated with lacquer and inlaid in lacquer, and is characterized by its gorgeous brilliance and color. About the artist: Kitani Yoko

Born in Tottori Prefecture. Studied under Nobuo Kitani. As a maki-e artist, she creates works that incorporate a modern sense of aesthetics while making use of traditional techniques.She has been selected for many exhibitions such as the Japanese Exhibition, and has also served asthe judge.While building on the traditional techniques of Wajima painting, it pursues its own aesthetics and creativity.

Each pattern is limited to 50 pieces with the craftsman's signature and serial number. The craftsman's handwritten signature and serial number are written on the end of the shaft.The Taccia Rei-en Urushi fountain pen uses an 18k large gold nib, made in Japan by Sailor - exclusively for Taccia - and has a cartridge/converter filling mechanism. The gift box is made of paulownia wood, which gives it a luxurious feel.
