Sailor Pro Gear Slim Japanese Sweets Wagashi Nerikiri GT Fountain pen

Sailor is pleased to introduce a new collection of Pro Gear Slim fountain pens with the theme of Seasonal Japanese Sweets!

Wagashi is one of the Japanese traditional sweets. Wagashi has changed and developed throughout Japanese history, and it reflects the life of the Japanese people in many ways. In Japan, people enjoy eating seasonal wagashi and it’s on these seasonal wagashi that Sailor has based this new collection.

• Sakuramochi: Mochi ( rice cake ) covered with a salted Sakura leaf.


• Nerikiri: Nerikiri is an artistic sweet made by mixing shiro-an ( white bean pasete ) with gyuhi ( made of rice flour ). This time, the image is of a Nerikiri in the shape of a camellia.


• Kohakuto: A semi-dried Agar Jelly sweet. It seems like a jewel.


• Manju: A stemed bun with a red-jam fitting.


• Tsukimi Dango: Round dumpfings eaten with viewing the moon.

The Sailor Pro Gear fountain pen uses a 14k gold nib and has a proprietary cartridge/converter filling mechanism.

Sailor pens was established in 1911 in Japan, becoming the first to produce fountain pens in their home country. They have subsequently built a first-class reputation in the manufacture of the highest quality nibs, with all parts made in their own factory in Hiroshima.
