Sailor Fude De Mannen Green Calligraphy Fountain Pen

The Sailor Fude de Mannen fountain pen was originally made for calligraphy, but also became popular for other purposes such as skechting and journalling. Due to its angled nib (green has 55º and blue has 40º) the thickness of the line varies as you move the pen around. The width of the stroke varies by the angle you hold the pen to paper, this way you can create thicker and thinner lines.

The Sailor Fude de Mannen Calligraphy Fountain pen has a stainless steel nib and uses proprietary ink cartridges or a converter.

Sailor pens was established in 1911 in Japan, becoming the first to produce fountain pens in their home country. They have subsequently built a first-class reputation in the manufacture of the highest quality nibs, with all parts made in their own factory in Hiroshima. Their flagship collections are the classic 1911 and boldly designed Professional Gear, all available with a 14k or 21k gold nib. The Sailor name comes from founder Kyugoro Sakata's British sailor friend who introduced him to fountain pens.
