Sailor Cylint Black Stainless Steel Ballpoint

The Sailor Cylint is inspired by Sailor’s 110th Anniversary Pen, the Cylint boasts a lasting and reflective black hue. Different from black plating or black paint application, the new electrolytic technology involves developing an ultra-thin black oxide layer on the surface of the material, leveraging light interference for color recognition. This ensures a durable and elegant black finish that will last the test of time.

Sailor Cylint is a new design with different features from the famous Sailor 1911 and Pro Gear we already know. The fountain pen is made of brass and comes with a metal grip section for a balance in direction of the nib making even smooth the legendary Sailor 21k nib.

The name Cylint is composed by "Cylinder" and "Intelligent" because it combines both elements in terms of design and use. The fountain pen is equipped with a 21k gold nib and fills ink via Sailor cartridge/converter. It comes with a converter included in the box.

Sailor pens was established in 1911 in Japan, becoming the first to produce fountain pens in their home country. They have subsequently built a first-class reputation in the manufacture of the highest quality nibs, with all parts made in their own factory in Hiroshima. Their flagship collections are the classic 1911 and boldly designed Professional Gear, all available with a 14k or 21k gold nib. The Sailor name comes from founder Kyugoro Sakata's British sailor friend who introduced him to fountain pens.
