The iconic fountain pen of Sailor features a glossy black resin barrel and cap, complemented by gold-plated metal details. The cap screws to open/close and can push to post onto the back of the barrel when writing. The Sailor 1911L comes with a Sailor proprietary converter as well as two proprietary Sailor Black ink cartridges.

The Sailor 1911L (large) fountain pen uses a 21k gold nib and has a cartridge/converter filling mechanism.
