Sailor 1911L Black GT Naginata Cross Point Fountain pen

Honouring Sailor’s foundation year, the 1911L (large)  fountain pen marries an effortless writing experience with a classic design of rounded curves. The iconic fountain pen of Sailor features a glossy black resin barrel and cap, complemented by silver colored metal details. It comes equipped with Sailor's legendary 21k gold nib with a Naginata Concord nib.

The Sailor 1911L Naginata Cross Point fountain pen is equipped with a double nib design, essentially two nibs stacked on top of each other, forming the cross design at the tip of the nib. The Cross Point nib is a wet writing nib with abundant ink flow and was released on Sailor's 85th anniversary after a customer's request for a fountain pen that produces thick and large strokes and can be used to write on traditional Japanese paper.

The special engraved metallic centerband infilled with resin using the special Cloisonné technique signifies the special nib.

The cap screws to open/close and can push to post onto the back of the barrel when writing. The Sailor 1911L comes with a Sailor proprietary converter as well as two proprietary Sailor Black ink cartridges.

Sailor pens was established in 1911 in Japan, becoming the first to produce fountain pens in their home country. They have subsequently built a first-class reputation in the manufacture of the highest quality nibs, with all parts made in their own factory in Hiroshima.
