I find Pelikan produces pens that quietly provide excellent value for the money. This one in particular spoke to me the first I laid eyes on it. I already own one in the more conventional striped coloration, but I just had to have this variant. I find the M400 the perfect size for my hand and that nib is the right combination of feedback and smoothness. Love the ink window that shows you'll need more ink soon.

Nice looking elegant, light pen. Extra fine nib is pretty wet and writes exceptionally smooth producing lines that are just a little bit wider than Waterman Carene fine nib does (thanks to the store nibmeister for the nib tuning). I love writing with my M400 fountain pen.

I am very grateful to Mr Appelboom for the excellent service in his store, without his friendly help my purchase would not be completed.
