There is a reason this pen is compared to pens that cost 3x. This is such an enjoyable writing experience that my other pens are very much so neglected now.
I purchased this pen as an every day work horse. I tend to write a lot especially during the summer where I’m on many trips. I personally use this pen to write about 500-800 words a day, the smoothness even on the fine nib is so pleasurable to use that I never have a worry of the pen not performing. It’s not only a tool but it became a daily companion. I got the demonstrator colour as I like the minimalism of it and I enjoy seeing my slightly greenish ink through the barrel.
The signature nib writes smooth and very similar if not identical to a double broad. I''m really appreciating the clear barrel as well. Lovely addition to my collection.

The Pilot 826 is renowned for a build and write superlative quality. Beware though, that the fine nib is really very fine! Appelboom quality of service up to the pen standard
Although a little bit pricey the pen is excellent and Appelboom service second to none. It is also great to be able to have the transparent version. No real complaints here.
This is my fourth Pilot Custom 823, so I must be a fan of that model. :-) I got this one for the signature nib and I was not disappointed in expecting it to glide over the paper in a juicy broad line that is just fun to play with. It showcases the properties of ink wonderfully and makes me smile every time I use it. 10 out of 10 ! :-)
