It does what it should do

The converter I received is actually the new version which is supposed to fit all Cross pens, including Townsend. They are colorless (fully transparent) and not threaded. Mine fits my Baily with no issue. The ink capacity looks on par with standars version, but I did not measure it. As of now I could not open one for cleaning, and not sure if it is possible. The quality seems to be on a high side and hopefully it works for many years.
The service from Appelboom was top notch, no wonders here. Very fast shipping, good package and very good price. Thanks.

It seems to be hard to come across converters for Cross pens, specially if you don't live in the US. The products look pretty good, they fit nicely and have a fine capacity. The mechanism to fill them up is not as easy as other converters because you need to "screw" the ink in which requires a bit more precision and attention when doing it. Otherwise, it was a really good price and was sent the same day I bought them.

Joost replied to my email very promptly concerning this converter. The Cross screw-type Converter fits my Cross Apogee fountain pen well. The black series converter appears to succeed the Amber series Converter. The translucent Converter supplants the green push on-type that work with Cross Townsend type fountain pens.

fits nice and secure in my Cross pen. Doesn't hold too much ink, but maybe only slightly less than a standard converter
