This is Lamy proprietary converter designed for Lamy ABC, AL-star, Joy, LX, Nexx, Safari and Vista. The different between the Z27 and Z28 are 2 notches on the converter that clicks onto to the pen.
Lamy fountain pens normally only comes with a blue cartridge, so this is a must have if you want to use bottled inks. Second time I bought these already.
Fits many Lamy fountain pens including my Lamy Safari. Now I will be able to use bottled ink which comes in many varieties/colours. Draws up a fair amount of ink.
Lamy Safari and Lamy Al-Star both come with a complimentary Lamy blue ink cartridge, which is cool. But if you want to unlock the world of bottled fountain pen inks, you will need this converter. Otherwise, you're limited to the inks made by Lamy, since Lamy pens uses proprietary cartridges.
But with the Z28 Converter you're able to fill any ink you want. Not to mention, iit will make your pen more environmentally friendly, since you're not using disposable plastic cartridges. The converter can be easily disassembled for cleaning, if you so desire. For the price, I think the investment is a no brainer.
Ik kocht deze converter voor mijn vier Lamy vulpennen en zoals te verwachten, passen ze perfect. Ze vullen goed. Minder fijn vind ik het rechthoekige draaistaafje, dit draait niet zo fijn als de gewone ronde die ik gewend ben.
