About eight months ago I bought four Rohrer & Klingner colours at Appelboom. All four are great inks, write well and are easy to clean. Best of all is their price.
The four colours I bought where Verdigris, Sepia, Old Golden Green (Alt-Goldgrün) and Verdure. The ink swatches and writings samples on the webpage are close to how I experience them on white paper.
I tested the inks in different pens, on different papers, and I never had any issue with the combinations.
The pens: Caran d’Ache Ecridor & Leman, TWSBI 580 ALR and YStudio Classic Revolve.
Paper: Leuchtturm 1917, Rhodia, Clairefontaine, Tomoe River and Lamy.
Bought the Alt Gold Grun and never been happier. The olive green is the perfect olive green. The size of the bottle and the price that they offer is tremendously attractive. I am definitely putting an order for more of these inks. Highly recommended.
Ik heb twee kleuren inkt besteld, 'Helianthus' (Sunflower) en 'Alt-goldgrün' (Old golden green). De kleuren zijn precies wat ik zocht: ze zijn intens, warm, rijk. Helianthus is een gele inkt waar je leesbaar mee kunt schrijven, iets wat mij niet met iedere gele inkt lukt. Alt-goldgrün zag ik overal op YouTube voorbij komen, maar wat mij betreft is dat terecht. Ik schrijf er nu een paar weken mee en het is nu al een van mijn favoriete kleuren. Beide inkten werken prettig in mijn TWSBI Eco extra fine.
I was looking for a blue-black ink and Leipisician Black was the perfect choice. The ink is very dark and looks almost black, but if you look closely you can tell that it is blue. It also shades at moments where the blue really shows through. The blue is very pretty and slightly teal leaning. The ink also seems very wet and works better in dryer nibs. In a Kaweco Supra fine nib, it caused bleed through on Kokuyo Thin paper. However, in a TWSBI Eco fine nib, there was no bleed through on the Thin paper. So this ink may work better in some pens as opposed to others.
