Very happy with my pen!

I bought this Kaweco in BB. It's a very well built fountain pen (machined brass!) and quite heavy, which suits me. Writing is smooth and effortless. Appelboom sent over a wonderful box - nice touch! - and I'm happy with my pen!

Awesome Fountain Pen
- Review Add on: 16-04-2023

I own quite a few Kaweco pens and this pen is one of my favorites. I like that it is adjustable and have used it posted and unposted. It’s heavier and larger than the Liliput so is very comfortable to write with. I got the EF and it writes buttery smooth. I Paired it up with diplomat Winterwood ink and it’s a joy to write with. Appelboom has the best prices and excellent customer service and responds quickly to messages. Shipping was fast via fedex to the states once it was shipped.

Solid Pen - May give you Wrist Pain

It is a solid pen, Be Ready for surprises
1- It will change colors (develop patina) as soon you start using it, get a brass polish if you don't like vintage look or smelly hands.
2- Using a Fine nibs with this pen is a punishment. Good things I had a old Bock nib which I added, and it worked.
3- It is not comfortable to hold for longer period of time. Just use it for 30 minutes max, I kept switching back to Fabre Castell E-Motion.

The supra is a very cool pen in the sense that it's a larger version of Kaweco's Liliput, which is a very small pocket pen made of brass. The supra, like the Liliput is tough as nails and can take abuse for a pass time. Despite it being larger than the Liliput, the middle section can be removed to make it pretty much the same length as the Liliput, though you can only fit a cartridge that way as the converter is too long for the shortened barrel. It can be posted, so the shortened barrel won't be too small to use.
I got a double broad (BB) nib and it's smooth as silk. It's a beautiful and unique pen and I'm very happy with it.

The pen body looks nice and is well made. The nib initially had some problems but the owner of Appelboom immediately took care of it and now it writes very nicely.

Unique, Beautiful, Sturdy

A beautiful brass fountain pen, I have purchased a Medium nib, which is a pleasure to write. The most unique feature is the length adjustability of the barrel. The longer mode tends to be slightly on the heavier side but nothing to complain about. I find the shorter version is very well balanced.
Being metal-bodied it is practically indestructible. The patina enhances the beauty of the pen.
A Writing instrument for posterity.

Kaweko Supra Brass

I simply love this pen. Sturdy with a nice section and a true EF smooth -no scratchiness at all - number 6 nib with a very nice inkflow. (De Atramentis black document ink) The possibility to chose between a real pocket pen and a more or less normal pen is great. It’s a fantastic pen to write with in difficult circumstances.

"Transformer" Pen !
- Review Add on: 18-07-2019
- Average Rating: (5)
The big brother to the Kaweco Liliput - longer and girthier. Being brass, it is a weighty pen, but still feels good in the hand. What drew me is that it can "transform" to a shorter pen - to just slightly longer than the Kaweco Liliput - by removing the midsection of the barrel. With a shortened length, I can still insert a Kaweco mini squeeze converter. At this shortened length, I will post the cap by screwing it to the end of the barrel. This option for a short or long pen - makes this pen unique. Like the Kaweco Liliput, the engineered tolerences are superb. The nib is larger than the Liliput (looks like a #6). The Medium nib width is slightly broader than a Japanese medium. It writes beautifully and very smoothly. Note that a Kaweco fine is almost like a Japanese fine. With an all brass cap, section and barrel, - this pen will patina over time which is fantastic!
