This size of case was one of last few from the series that I was lacking. By now I have almost all sizes, some in duplicates. These cases are simply the best for my pens. Here are the reasons: they are semi-hard with internal ridges (i.e. well-protected), they have no holding rubber-ish bands that leave marks and scratches on your expensive pens, they are slightly paded for more pleasant hold in your hands, and finally they are made from beautiful Italian real leather. These are not always available, so grab them when you can. Appelboom offers much more competitive prices that any US-based stores that don't usually have them in stock anyway. One more thing, the previous models of this had a metal logo on the case, but I feel the new models with embossed logo offer a more organic look.
This is a perfect case to carry your pens in safely. It is a beautiful case with a soft leather outer and a plush inside to protect your pens. The zipper is strong and sturdy. The case zips half way so you don't have to worry about your pens falling out when the case is opened. The interior has full length dividers so your pens don't touch or rub together. The slots are big enough for most pens (Visconti Bronze Age fits perfect) unless it is a special or really oversize pen. I carry 5 Pelikans, M800's (different color inks) and a Visconti Traveling Ink Well with blue ink (I use a lot of blue ink) and everything fits very well. Love this case.
A very high quality product, this pen case comes with a very nice package. It's a luxury product and you can feel that just touching it.
If you need a case, go for it with no doubt!
I knew this would be a good choice to protect more expensive pens, but I was a bit worried that the size would be too large for a 6-pen pouch. Turns out that it's a perfectly small size, good quality materials, soft and pleasant material inside, zipper works well and it holds even larger pens well.
You can't go wrong with this one!
I was looking for a leather pen case that would protect my more expensive pens as an alternative to storing them in their original box. I settled on this product because not only is it soft on the outside, it’s sturdy on the inside thus offering very nice protection and portability. Each pen has its own space which keeps them from touching each other. The interior material is velvety. It zips shut. And when open, provides excellent access to each pen. This case is lovely, feels nice in the hand, is compact, and very well made. It also came in a nice pull string cloth sachet with the Visconti logo printed on it. From across the Atlantic, this product arrived within four days. It was carefully wrapped and packaged, which amazed me. Appelboom is professional, personable and pays attention to details making ordering very easy.
This is a high quality pen case that holds pens of all sizes. I have quite a few large pens that other cases cannot comfortably hold. This case can hold pens of any length and diameter. The interior is well padded to stop pens from touching. The exterior is very smooth genuine leather. The zip is durable and designed so pens will not fall out when opening and closing. Overall, this pen case is great value and very thoughtfully designed.
