The Caran d'Ache Black Code in general looks great with its matte black finish. The nib is plain and simple but matches with the design of the body well. There is quite a bit step down from the body to the section. It will become uncomfortable after a long period of writing. Also the plastic grip section just makes the pen look cheap.
