Review Title: Stunning pen, beautiful writer

This is my second Scribo (but first La Dotta) and decided to invest a bit more in getting the nib tuned, which was worth the wait. The first Scribo I bought was the Scribo feel, and it feels slightly scratchy. I'm very pleased with the work they did to tune this La Dotta because now it glides on paper like butter. It has a nice weight to it for long writing sessions, and the shimmer in the resin is stunning in person. I'm always grabbing this pen from my rotation for daily journaling. Thank you so much!

This is my first Scribo pen but will certainly not be my last. I picked this up in a medium nib which writes exquisitely, it is very smooth with a small hint of feedback. The design of the pen itself is lovely with a very unique resin color story, and though the pen is large it is not too heavy and I have used it for long writing sessions with no problem. Would love to pick up more pens from this line!

Review Title: a classic and elegant fountain pen

The La Dotta Orefici is a beautiful pen. It fits my hand comfortably, even though it is a little bit bigger than my Pelikan M1000. The resin took me a little getting used to at first. As with all swirly resins the photos online and the actual pen you end up with are often quite different. But the pen is none the less very beautiful and it is growing on me by the day. I bought the 14k Fine flex nib, and was a bit surprised how wet this pen is. It therefore writes much broader than the fine nibs I prefer. In hindsight I should have picked a finer nibsize, or gone for the 18K nib. But I am not unhappy with my purchase. For anyone who likes an elegant fountain pen with a bouncy/flexy nib the La Dotta is a lovely option.
