This is my first modern Aurora — I have several vintage Aurora pens that I love for their beauty and functionality. This “new” Optima does not disappoint! The construction and build quality is excellent, and the Aurora nib is smooth and responsive. This is an interesting finish - it is a mix of varying shades of blue, from deep navy to an almost pearlescent glacier blue. Somehow Aurora manages to blend the range from darker to lighter creating a lively blue marbled effect. The black caps and silver fittings form a nice contrast for a crisp overall appearance.

Review Title: Italian style

This purchase has been my first Aurora pen and is amazing.
The pen is small, but the barrel and section are long enough to write with the pen unposted, and the section is one of the most comfortable I have ever used.
The pen is very nice and the blue auroloide is spectacular.
The fine nib is made in house by Aurora and is a pleasure to use. It has some feedback but is firstly smooth.
This is one of the best pen in my collection and I recommend it.
