I have several models of this pen, with nibs of different thicknesses, and I enjoy them all without exception. This is a simple pen in the best sense of the word, exceptionally comfortable to write with, without pretensions. A perfect combination of simplicity and perfection.

De vulpen is heel mooi afgewerkt en schrijft soepel met iets vettere lijnen (M). De inkt vullen gaat vlot.

Despite being a small pen, at least smaller than my Lamy Safari Umbra, I wasn't expecting the steel nib to be as smooth as the nib on my Pilot Capless.
It's a joy to write with, it's light and smooth to the touch, it almost feels like, in terms of weight, I'm using a pencil.
The piston mechanism is silent and has a smooth movement.
For those who want a Pelikan and are afraid of spending more than €400 on the superior models in the Souverän range, I advise you to try this model and you won't regret it.

My first ever Pelikan, during my school years in Germany I've always used the now defunct concurrent Geha. The pen itself gives everything what you can expect from an entry level pen, reasonably priced, quality as high as expected. Writes nearly like a dream.
Appelboom service is nothing but perfect. If (more when!) I feel the need to try a gold nib, I now know where to buy it.

My girlfriend almost likes it more than I do. As I said though, ALMOST.
It is a smaller pen. I did my research, compared to pens I had and used various tools to estimate and yet the pen I got seems smaller than what I expected. It is not an issue though, just an observation.
For a steel nib, it has a remarkably springy nib and the pen is overall a good quality.
