Diplomat make some of the finest fountain pens I have had the pleasure to use. Their nibs made of steel or gold are consistently tuned to perfection. The Skyline model is a beautiful radiant blue on a traditional body.
I purchased the broad nib that as mentioned is perfectly tuned, perfect ink flow, smoothness, and a good weight for long writing sessions. I purchased the Skyline with the 14ct gold nib that has a little bounce. I also have the Excellence A model with a steel nib that is the finest steel nib I have ever used. I would say if you are thinking about a Diplomat pen rest assure you will be getting a fine writing instrument.
