I bought mine with an extra fine nib, and it writes more smoothly than any of my other Esties. The presentation in the goft box is lovely, the ink a beautiful marine blue that behaves nicely. I can squeese two pens into the pen sleeve it came with, and the letters/cards and the key chain is exquisit! The pen itself has a bit of weight to it compared to resin pens, most of it due to the pen cap being made of laquered metal. No dry-outs or hard starts, just a very reliable and balanced writing experience! And for some reason I find the act of screwing the cap on with theese metal threads such a smooth and enjoyable act compared to my Esties made of resin. Now I want a sail boat!

Again - a very good and fast service!
The pen arrived with a beautiful package, a lot of items and nice ink - well balanced, soft nib and an interesting mix of materials.Because of the wood, each fountain pen is unique.

The pen arrived beautifully presented, with a generous selection of extras including ink, stationery, a pen pouch and other accessories. Overall, the package felt thoughtful and premium.

The pen itself is well made, comfortable in hand and nicely balanced. The fit and finish of the components, threading and trim are all excellent, and it is clearly a quality writing instrument.

My only reservation concerns the wooden barrel. I purchased the pen largely on the strength of the promotional image showing it standing upright, where the wood appears smooth, refined and reminiscent of a luxury yacht deck. In reality, the finish on my pen is much more textured and pronounced, looking closer to some of the other product photographs on the website. In hindsight, I should have paid more attention to all of the images before ordering, but I do feel that the upright photograph creates a different expectation from the product I received.

As a result, while the pen itself is well made, the appearance of the wooden barrel was not what I expected based on the image that initially attracted me to it.
