Review Title: Totally gorgeous! Photos don't do it justice.

This pen is an absolute stunner. The material is truly special. What you don't pick up in the photos is the pearly chatoyance of some of the chunks of resin and the very subtle veins of gold. Turning it over in the light makes it dance.

I ordered an EF nib, which is more like a western F nib. It needed about 2 min of tuning to smooth out a spot that was catching. Now, it's as smooth as anything else in my collection. One minor qualm is that it tends to run dry. Turning the piston to prime the feed is all it takes, but it can be a little annoying. Regardless, I very much enjoy the writing experience with this pen.

The service at Appelboom is also the BEST. I wanted a specific number in this edition to commemorate a milestone birthday in the year this was issued, and Joost went out of his way to put in the order with Aurora to get exactly what I asked for. The fair prices, unique selection, and the personalized service are what bring me back to this store to buy more.
