I ordered this one in Fine and really appreciate the nice thin line width and consistent smooth flow of ink. Like with the other Pilot pens I own the fit and finish is flawless thanks to Pilot’s outstanding quality control. This Urushi pen has a lovely shade of Prussian blue and gold trim really pops off the pen’s blue canvas. The pen has a nice scale and fits very comfortably in my hand. Well done Pilot!

The urushi lacquer masterpieces compiled with excellent functioning will always put you in high esteem in the eyes of pen lovers. Reccol3nd that you buy all three colours. Currently I have two.

I have the Vermillion version of this pen with a custom-ground BB to Cursive Italic nib. I like how that one writes, and when the Dark Blue edition was released, I knew I wanted it. I ordered the pen with another custom-ground BB to Cursive Italic nib, and I am very happy with how it writes. This pen is just very slightly longer than a Pelikan M8xx but is slightly thinner. The quality of the pen's fit and finish is excellent

I have (and love) the Vermillion version of the Custom 845 Urushi and so I immediately ordered the new Blue color as soon as it became available. Although the description calls the color a Dark Blue, in-real-life it is similar to the Prussian Blue color in the larger Custom Urushi model. The color ranges from a Medium Blue to Dark Blue depending on the lighting. As you might expect from a Pilot, the nib is extremely smooth and the performance is top notch!

Even through I ordered the advertised Pilot Custom Urushi 845 in Prussian Blue, what I received was the larger, Pilot Custom Urushi in Prussian Blue. An unexpected BUT very welcome surprise. My Pilot Custom Urushi collection is complete with Black, Vermillion and Prusian Blue.
