Choosing a Journal is very personal, and is beset with compromises: Size, weight, pages, portability, lay-flat, hard-cover? And most importantly, paper quality. But, to avoid shadowing and bleed-through with even the wettest of fountain pens - choose this 120g Leuchtturm Journal. It's robust, and through trial & error, has become my go-to A5. Appelboom are hard to beat on price for this.

What a great journal. Lovley fountain pen frendly paper.
Good hard cover and properly stitched in the traditional way. Two page markers and more useful features.
The Appleboom team area very plesant company to do bisiness with. Quick and effortless.
Oh and a great website to brouse.
I enjoid the experience.
