This is my 2nd Otto Hutt and the best one yet. Writes really smooth, secretes a lot of ink...and looks gorgeous. Does have a bit of weight to it but I don't mind, Otto Hutt makes some incredible fountain pens. Highly recommend this fountain pen brand...awesoeme.

As an absolute Montblanc addict I bought the Otto Hutt Design 07 Black PVD Fountainpen and I'm positively surprised by it. Smooth writing, very pleasant in the hand (good balance between comfort and weight) and very good looking. since Otto Hutt produces the pens on behalf of Montblanc I knew I had to own one (and of course try it out). Until now just positive experiences, so happy with my purchase.

Comfortable, smooth, and distinguished.

The Otto Hutt design07 in PVD black is certainly a distinguished writing instrument with impeccable finish. The gloss of the clip, cap band and finial add a refined touch of contrast with the matte black of the pen's cap and barrel. These elements themselves are notable for their pinstripe incisions that are executed with precision. The graceful lines of the pen when viewed from the side are very pleasing and classic with their flat ends. All of the details, from the nib inscription to the finial to the rotation when removing the cap are achieved with perfection. Despite the pen's heavier-than-resin material, it is most comfortable in the hand, graceful to write with, and a genuine joy to touch. This is my first Otto Hutt pen, but will not be my last. Appelboom has chosen another winner for its impressive inventory, which is wonderfully accessible online, and supported by outstanding customer service and efficient world-wide delivery. Bravo!

Just as stunningly good as the 07 sterling silver

The Design 07 sterling silver is one of my favourite pens for the sheer writing pleasure it gives, so as soon as I heard about the release of the black PVD version I knew I'd have to buy it.

Like the silver one, mine is fitted with a medium nib and I'm delighted that there are subtle differences between the two. The nib fitted to the silver 07 is slightly more soft and bouncy but the black PVD nib is just as smooth on the page as the silver one and the writing pleasure is just as great.

Like the silver, this pen is so perfectly balanced in the hand that any weight the user thinks should be noticeable just vanishes. I can - and have - used this pen and its sibling for long writing sessions without any hint of tiredness in the hand, and my hands are (sadly) arthritic.

I'm lucky enough to own a number of more expensive pens than this one, all of them enjoyable to use, but this pen easily holds its own in their company. Very highly recommended.
