I recently purchased this fountain pen with a 18K gold knit. Previously, I very much enjoyed OMAS fountain pens, particularly the 360 versions. Thus, I looked forward to this Sribo Feel Pen with considerable expectation. I am not disappointed. The pen fits nicely into my hand. I like the faceted body with the resin. Ink flow is consistent and excellent in amount. I can write for a long period of time without tiring. The pen is really a 'winner'.

The Secret of the Scribo Feel

The Scribo Feel is a large pen, larger than the Pelikan M1000, and yet handles with a rare blend of elegance and authority. I believe the secret is in the long and faceted section. As compared to a Pelikan M800 with a section between the end flare and threads of 1.5 cm, the Feel has a generous 2.4 cm tapered section. This allows greater variation in where and how the pen can be held. The flare in the pen's body opened a new appreciation of how the pen sits in space between the thumb and index finger, something I had not considered until noting the pleasure in this pen. The nibs have all the sweetness of the Omas nib, but to my experienced are better behaved. Thank you Appelboom for this offering and your continued superlative service.

I very recently purchased from Appelboom a Scribo Feel Amarena fountain pen with a 14-kt. medium flex nib. The multi-faceted pen is beautiful to look at in a darker shade of red and feels comfortable in the hand. It definitely feels like a well-made pen.

I am using Waterman Serenity blue ink in the pen and the ink flow is excellent with no hard starts or skipping. There is definitely some flex to the nib, but I have not pushed it too far after only a week. There is feedback to writing with the pen nib, but I do not find that feedback scratchy or unpleasant. You will be disappointed, however, if you are looking for a pen with a buttery smooth nib.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the pen’s look and performance and would definitely recommend it.

The Feel Amarena just "feels" like quality (sorry, pun intended). While not a small pen in size, it's perfectly balanced, writes terrific, and looks great. I really like the external finish of the Amarena. Joost and his team were great, as usual!

I cannot say that I absolutely needed another fountain pen, but I was so attracted by the colour - Amarena - and the elegant faceted body, and I do not have a pen comparable. The Scribo Feel sits comfortably in my hand; the flex nib writes smoothly and pleasurably. As a (small) collector I also liked the idea of adding a fountain pen, which is an inheritor of the legendary OMAS brand. I think that the SCRIBO Feel is a worthy representative of that illustrious history. Viva la penna stilografica italiana!
