This is quite different from the rest of the LX line. It is brown and it is not related to a precious metal that supposedly are in the coating of the pen. I like this, it is the last LX for me.

Review Title: Wonderfully Smooth Writer!

This pen was specially ordered in for me, for which I am very grateful for this personalized customer service. Luckily, I am pleased with its appearance and exceptionally smooth writing quality. It’s one of my favorite pens to write with along with the Pilot Custom 823, Pilot Custom 845 Urushi, Esterbrook Funky Lake, and Asvine J16. As you can see, it competes very well with several considerably pricier pens!

Review Title: Lamy LX Marron

While the Lamy LX Marron is among my least expensive pens, it writes so wonderfully smoothly it can easily compete with the ultra smooth writing of my much more expensive pens, like my Pilot Custom 823 or 845 Urushi, or my Esterbrook Estie Funky Lake or Incredible Rock or my Asvine J16. I like to keep it inked and in rotation all the time.
