Review Title: Conklin All American Tortoiseshell Fountain pen

I have a particular fondness for classic-style pens, especially those with the timeless tortoiseshell finish. So my latest addition felt like a must-have alongside my Conway Stewarts, Pelikan, Esterbrook, Tibaldi, and others in the same colourway—a truly delightful collection. The Conklin pen makes an immediate impression with its substantial size and cigar shape, yet it never feels cumbersome—in fact, it fits perfectly in my not-so-large hands, whether posted or unposted. The material and finish are pleasing to the touch, and the spring-loaded clip is exemplary.

But it's in the writing that this pen truly shines. I was pleasantly surprised by the smooth, effortless glide of the broad nib—writing with it is simply a joy. Perhaps it helped that the pen received a tune-up from Appelboom’s Tune & Smooth service before delivery.

In summary, this is a remarkably affordable pen in a classic style, and I already know it will become one of my favourites.
