I don't know why it took me so long to buy a Conklin pen but when I finally did (it was Misto Green), I immediately ordered another one - Duragraph Amber. What we get at a really affordable price is a beautiful pen with a very smooth, reliable nib. It's just a pleasure to use, especially with Robert Oster Orange ink - a great match for autumn. I'd say the M nib is standard European M size, so it's just perfect for everyday writing without being too wet.
I'm already considering adding another Conklin to my collection.

Nice pen, but a bit dry

The pen is beautiful in person. The resin feels very solid and warm to the touch. The cap threads and barrel threads are very smooth and secure, and the included converter in also screws in, which makes it more secure. You also get two standard international short cartridges included if you prefer that.

I ordered a medium nib and received a fine nib, so the pen writes finer and drier than expected, but very smooth. The tines were very slightly misaligned out of the box.

At least in this particular pen, I need to use very wet inks to counter the dryness. Works well with Noodler's Borealis Black and Jacques Herbin Kyanite du Népal.

If you buy it, make sure you got the right nib, flush it very thoroughly and use a wetter ink for a fine nib.

Overall, I like it very much!
