Diamonds are forever

My second fountain pen from Taiwan. I bought this pen with a broad tip. I’m amazed by its build quality and the feel (weight and diameter) of the pen. I use this one for quick note taking and that went very well from the start of using this beauty.
The broad tip is just a bit wider than my Waterman with a medium tip.

As with most people trying to figure out what pen to get first is tough. I chose this because of reviews. Couldn't be happier.

Excellent pen!

Over the years I succeeded in collecting quite a vast number of pens, mostly German, American and Italian. Buying my first Korean pen seemed a challenge at the time. Never heard of TWSBI and - I have to admit- buying a Korean pen did not really inspire great confidence. What a mistake! The TWSBI Diamond quickly became my favorite pen for many reasons. First of all, it is an excellent writer. I went for the 1.1 stub nib and this appeared to be a good choice. Although the pen has partially a plastic look due to its transparency, the aluminium parts gives it a great finish. The quality of the materials are- to my experience far superior to e.g. the Japanese Pilot Heritage 92, which after a year already had a broken cap (although the Pilot is also an excellent writer). You can't go wrong with the TWSBI Diamond 580 and the price is certainly not an issue. Highly recommended!
