I was pleased by the first experience with this KAWECO, starting with the original packaging and most importantly the weight, balance and overall grip of the pen and matte black colour of course. It posts easily and securely, making it quite convenient for everyday use. The petit size of the pen makes it unique across the fountain pen universe
I can't comment on the nib out of the box as I chose the tune&smooth service, and Appelboom made it a very pleasant writer.

This FP actually belongs to my husband but because of its size and weight, I borrow it quite a bit for writing my letters. Writes smooth and easy. I use cartridges which are easy to put in and the nibs as well are so easy to change. Awesome pen.

My new Kaweco AL Sport Black fountain pen has surpassed my expectations! It is a solid AL fountain pen with a nice black velvet surface, has well designed dimensions for carrying it in the pocket (I use it capped when writing), its weight of 22 g is light to medium with a good balance for long writing sessions, its nib is extremely smooth, the ink flow is generous, and the maintenance is easy. It is a real joy to write with it every day!
