The Pelikan Souverän M600 Art Collection Rudi Rother is a beautiful, substantial-feeling pen. Like all European nibs, they are juicy, wet writers and very smooth. I also appreciate the artwork on the accompanying brochure and card.
The beauty of this pen is not well captured by photos. Lovely writer , well balanced and another luscious medium nib . I’m glad I was able to purchase it..
As an experienced collector and user of fountain pens I experienced my share of disappointment with newly acquired fountain pens indeed. This one is flawless as far as I can say by now.
... On the Pelikan Souverän line there seems to be some uncertainty if a Fine nib will really be a (european) fine or rather a medium. This in mind I've just inked mine with Montblanc irish green, since this ink is a tad on the drier side. And indeed the nib-ink-paper-combo (paper: Leuchtturm1917) works absolutely beautifully! It's a pure joy to write with this pen and its wonderful smooth nib!
Another plus: whereas the usual Souverän models are very light, the Art collection models (due to the material used in the body) feel more substantial in the hand--very comfortable.

Another stunning pen of the Art Collection by Pelikan. If anyone is considering collecting any of the Pelikans, this collection is the one to spend on! The body of the pen captures light from each angle and the brass gives it a nice weight making it feel sturdier than the classic M600s. Nib wrote perfect out of the box, smooth writing experience with a medium nib. Looking forward to the next installation to be released!
A "gorgeous" fountain pen in every way. I can't stop admiring the luminous pattern as I write at my desk in front of the window. It has the smoothest piston filling system with the fewest turns. The extra fine nib is smooth with excellent ink flow in all directions. Love the slightly heavier weight of the pen. Best of all, "Fountain Pen Day" sale price at Appelboom. Safely arrived, well packaged with ink bottles all the way to Canada.
De Art-collectie van Pelikan wordt door verzamelaars geroemd. Met deze editie kan de faam alleen maar toenemen. Was ik al betoverd door de foto’s, de realiteit overtreft de verbeelding: het is alsof je in een meer van wervelende kleur kijkt.
Over de optimale technische eigenschappen kan ik dit zeggen: dit is meesterschap.
It’s definitely the best pen of 2025. Both its design and uniqueness are unbeatable. The pen is transparent with a stunning 3D layered pattern. It looks far more elegant in person than in pictures. Highly recommended if you can only buy one pen this year!
