I bought two of these nibs from Appelboom. They are gilded and write quite well. A reliable product, very handy when you want to jazz up your fountain pen a little bit.

Ik ben echt heel tevreden van deze Jowo #6 nib Flex Extra Fine. Hij schrijft vlot, hapert niet en laat een mooie lijnvariatie toe. In combinatie met de Wearingeul White Nights inkt krijg ik mooie details en een heel aangename flow. Echt een fijne schrijfervaring voor elke dag.

Buena relación calidad precio. Para ser acero escribe con mucha solvencia. Tiene algo de retroalimentación que resulta muy agradable. El tamaño 1.1 es el que me gusta particularmente y va mejor, pienso, para mi tipo de letra. Dudo si el trazo que deja es más de un itálico que de un stub. En todo caso, con diferencias de trazos verticales y horizontales bien marcadas.

Good, but not what I expected

I ordered 1.1 mm stub extra nib unit for Opus 88, besides 1.5 mm by Opus 88. I like both nibs, both are smooth and look good on the pen. However, the JoWo nib is broader than it should be, it is rather 1.3 mm (same pen, same ink; even when compared to other stub nibs I have it looks broader than it should be), which somewhat undermines my attempt to have two distinctively broad stubs. Moreover, it is significantly more expensive than Opus!

As I said, it is a nice nib otherwise, so I don't rate it worse. Just it is not what it should have been.

Soms goed soms scratchy

Ik had de EF penpunt in Rose gold besteld. De elastic fine was redelijk, met een beetje behandeling op micromesh is hij nu smooth schrijvend. De harde EF heeft een heel scherp puntje als je meer rechtopstaand schrijft, ik hoop dat ik dat weg ga krijgen. Ik denk dat als je schrijfhoek meer liggend is het beter zal zijn. Ik heb meestal problemen met niet passend getunede penpunten vanwege mijn meer rechtopstaande schrijfhoek.

Deze penpunt past goed op mijn Retro51 vulpen. Toen ik hem bestelde was hij niet op voorraad, en ik kreeg keurig bericht dat de penpunt besteld zou worden. Zodoende had ik hem een aantal weken later in huis. Ik ben tevreden!
