I ordered this pen with a stub nib. Leonardo's 14Kt stubs with ebonite feeds are consistently great writers, but it sometimes takes a few trials to find an ink that shows it off best. For me, I found the nib too wet to provide good thick/thin contrast with Leonardo inks. A drier ink - a Pelikan 4001 or a Visconti - worked much better.

I was initially sent the wrong pen; I contacted Appleboom and they promptly remediated the situation: they sent the return label via email right away and the wait time for the right pen to arrive was faster than the one for the original package.
I received the correct pen and the parcel was carefully packed and wrapped as if it were a present. To my surprise, they included a bottle of Leonardo ink. Thanks for the good customer service.
The pen is made of beautiful materials and colors. The colors do not pop up as much as in the photographs, but they are pretty nice nonetheless.
The nib writes with some feedback as if one were writing with a pencil. I like that. For those who expect a lot of line variation: this is not the nib for you. I do like the right amount of feedback and the line variation. The nib has a very good combination of flexing and cursive type. I am happy with the way it writes and behaves. (Cursive Elastic Fine)
