Review Title: Favorite Pen!!

I LOVE this pen. It is AMAZING. It was my first big fountain pen purchase - I got the Leonardo Momento Magico ST in . I got the tune & smooth service - very worth it! Definitely feels super smooth when I pair it with my De Atramentis Document Black ink! I'm left-handed and I have no issues writing at my weird angles. It writes very wet and so buttery smooth that it makes me want to constantly write. The pen itself is a gorgeous deep blue. It's very lightweight. It feels super comfortable in my hand, but the only thing I didn't like is the grip makes my finger hurt after a while. If I move my grip further up the barrel, it does not hurt. Overall, still my favorite pen of all time! If I had the funds, I probably would have gone for the 14ct nib ha ha.

It did take a while for it to come, but Appelboom was very responsive and updated me on its status! I appreciate the communication very much - will be back!

Review Title: Not as nice as I hoped

I ordered a 14k gold nib with tune and smooth. It took a few weeks (I think 6 weeks) to get to me. Unfortunately even with the tune and smooth service, I still feel like it is scratchy. And the scratchiness is not feedback. Considering this is my first purchase, i am disappointed as the return shipping would be exorbitant. The pen is nice to hold and lightweight and is beautiful design.

Review Title: Momento Magico

It is truly beautiful, and very lite on the wrist. I got the non gold nib,and it is smooth, but I regret as it doesnt write like butter! Maybe ill save up and get the 14k nib to replace it. Other wise it's a gorgeous over-priced pen. The body is resin based so the price just seems far too high for the materials used. Overall it is so much fun to use but overpriced.

Review Title: Just Gorgeous and to be written with for the long haul 823 style.

The 'Pietra Salata is truly gorgeous, even more so in the flesh thsn photos. I love a gorgeous 14k gold nib but i don't have a single hesitation in recommending at least the steel broad nib as the nib and feed combination is wet, juicy and i find it has a give to it that is very comfortable to write with. In one sense it reminds me of my Custom 823 as i would be very happy writing for extended periods due to the lovely balance, light weight and buttery smooth steel broad nib. After only an initial ink up the piston filler works beautifully and the ink window is beautiful but also extremely practical. Joost's service was great and i was always kept up to date on progress. My only downside was i was informed the pen wasn't in stock after purchasing but had been ordered in and should arrive in 2-3 weeks. Joost was very helpful when i changed my mind to a broad nib rather than medium after purchase and saw to it that that is what i received. Thrilled
