Works in many of Lamy pens, fits well and with the help of the two knobs is very stable. I had one for years and is very durable. It cannot be opened easily, but could be cleaned easily. The material is durable and the price is very fair in my humble opinion.
Not my favourite converter, as LAMY's proprietary Z28 is a bit fiddly and small in volume. But if you have a LAMY fountain pen, there is none better, so make it work - if you want to use bottled ink. At least its cheap!
Simplicity and style in one.
The Z28 brings together form, fit and function in a simple, ergonomic and visually appealing ink filling system. The product works smoothly, fits precisely and allows you to change inks easily.
If you have a LAMY fountain pen and want to avoid the cost of proprietary cartridges, this converter is a must. Reliable German engineering and attention to detail, although it would be better if it had a larger capacity for ink. But at this price no complaints here.
The Lamy Z28 Converter is a must-have accessory if you prefer using bottled ink with your Lamy Safari or Al-Star pens. It’s easy to install and provides a smooth, consistent ink flow. Highly recommended for those who want to experiment with different ink colors!
I needed this converter for my Safari as I dislike cartridges. Using it should be straightforward if you’ve used converters before. Haven’t used it yet as I did get T10 Violet refills matching the Safari I own (and might get that Ink in bottle for this Pen)≥
