Review Title: Opus 88 Bela Red

This is a large, lightweight, comfortable fountain pen with a tremendous ink capacity. I enjoy writing with it. The only cons: 1) the cap unscrews with almost 4 turns which at times can be troublesome when you want to have a quick note taking (but still bearable), 2) the broad, Bock steel nib writes finer than expected in comparison with a broad Jowo nib. Overall a good buy.

Review Title: Looks Gorgeous

This is a large pen, and I got the 2,3 mm stub nib. Looks amazing, the swirls on the body is a conversation started; holds a ton of ink; but the Japanese shut-off mechanism in an eyedropper needs some getting used to. I would have wanted the fine or medium nib, but it was out of stock, but the 2.3 mm nib does not disappoint. Given the size of the nib, it is not for everyday use. I would love to have the nib changed- but the stock availability is not always consistent.
Kudos to Team Appelboom. As always they have been the best in responding to queries and keeping posted on the availability. Always a pleasure to interact with Mr. Joost.

Review Title: Opus 88 Bela - Beautiful pen

The Opus 88 Bela is an oversized eyedropper pen with a nr. 6 Bock nib and a large ink capacity. I'm waiting for the medium nib, which was out of stock when I ordered. I 've fitted a spare F-nib temporarily and the writing experience so far is excellent. The color patterns in his pen are a feast for the eye. Overall a pen I would recommend to anybody enjoying larger and/or oversized pens.

The OPUS88 Bela is a big pen. But it is not a heavy pen and it is not a clumsy pen. The bulby format makes the pen rest easily in your hand as you write. For those with REALLY large pen, it posts - but I mean REALLY large hands here. I prefer the pen unposted. The bock nib makes a nice change in stride for the OPUS88 pens, my Bold nib is closer to a medium - and is very smooth.
It takes a lot of ink and comes with the same functions of stop valve as most of the other OPUS88 pens.
The color schematics of red with swirls makes it stand out even more among the other pens. All in all, a really nice pen.

Review Title: Beautiful writer

This pen is big but still very comfortable in the hand. The nib is perfect and glides across the paper. The ink capacity is HUGE! The colours are beautiful and put a smile on my face even on gloomy days. To top it off the service by Appelboom was outstanding. Very happy with it!
