The pen I purchased was the amber colour way, a beautiful honey yellow/gold. The colours and the resin feel is tactile and luxurious. The magnetic locking cap gives a reassuring click sound as it locks and clasps together firmly with the pen’s body. The cap’s Visconti clip also adds to the luxury upmarket feel and presence of what is a relatively inexpensive fountain pen. Unfortunately it is the nib that lets this very appealing pen down. It looks a little small for the size of the pen and it’s performance is average at best. The ink doesn’t flow very smoothly and struggles to keep up with a reasonably fast writing pace. All in all a beautiful pen for the money, but let down by its key component, the nib.
Applebloom did a great job in shipping and delivery in a very prompt and timely manner.

VISCONTI IS KNOWN FOR CRAFTING SOME SUPER PENS. WHEN I SAW THE ENTRY LEVEL PEN WAS EXCITED. THE HEART OF PEN IS THE NIB AND THE MEDIUM STEEL NIB IS SMOOTH WITH A NICE SUBTLE FEEDBACK. USING FOR LAST FEW WEEKS AND HAVE NOT FACED ANY FLOW ISSUES.KEEPS WELL DURING FAST WRITING. FEELS GOOD IN THE HAND, VERY COMFORTABLE WITH A GOOD WRITING BALANCE (CAPPED OR UNCAPPED) AND I LOVE THE MAGNETIC CAP. THANK YOU APPELBOOM FOR SENDING ACROSS THE CONTINENT. MATCH IT WITH J HERBIN AMBER INK!!!
