Mooie instap in de Pelikan Souverän serie

Een tijdje geleden heb ik de blauw gemarmerde M205 besteld. Met opzet gekozen voor chroom, omdat ik dat mooi vind afsteken bij het blauw en zwart. Ik heb een M penpunt besteld (achteraf had ik misschien een B willen hebben, maar die is apart te bestellen). De M205 heeft het formaat van de M400, en ligt net zo in de hand. De penpunt glijdt over het papier en geeft zelfs een (klein!) beetje mee. Het is natuurlijk geen gouden punt, maar ik vind hem voor de prijs erg goed. Hij stoot mijn M400 pennen niet van de troon, maar wat mij betreft is het een aanrader voor wie kennis wil maken met de M-serie.

Let op: het is net zoals de M400 een relatief kleine pen, naar moderne maatstaven.

My first Pelikan

As the title says, this is my first Pelikan and I am very pleased with it. I ordered a broad nib with the tune and smooth option and am very satisfied. I have inked it with Diamine Thunderbolt and it is a wet, lush writer. Service from Appelboom was excellent.

M205 - Steel nib pen that hangs with gold nib pens

Being a pen collector, I longed to own my first Pelikan. M205 seemed to be a good choice to start with. The pen has gone beyond my expectations in terms of writing comfort and build quality of the pen. The pen fits perfectly in my end, has decent ink capacity, looks great, and writes incredibly well.

While M205 is my first Pelikan, I imported a pen from Appelboom for the first time. I was skeptical of whether to order, but the overall experience of shopping and delivery has given me the confidence to come back to Appelboom for my next set of fountain pens.

It's hard for me to imagine a better pen

I've done a lot of exploring to find my ideal fountain pen. I feel this is it. These pen feels like perfect for me. Even with its steel nib, it feels responsive and soft, give life to my hand-writing. When I write with this pen, the shadings og the ink is more pronounces than with other pens. I just love the way it performs, and I love its sophisticated beauty.

A Pre-Souveran Gem

I think M200 series is introduction to Pelikan World. Its size is the same as M400 series and suitable to all hands, excluding gigantic ones. Its light weight eases writing. I prefer big and heavy pens but surprisingly I find M205 comfortable in my hand (capped).
Gain/Price ratio is high and I recommend this pen.
