Review Title: Smooth and easy

Despite this being my first G.v.F.C. the choice was a great one as I'd say it's my joint favourite along with the metal guilloche.
Mine is with an EF nib, but remains wonderfully smooth to write with. The wood is very dark with the etched lines being slightly lighter. Being wooden it brings a lovely natural warmth not found in their other non-wooden versions. The cap comes off with a 3/4 twist. The weight is well balanced if tail heavy and with a heavy cap I don't enjoy posting the cap but I have no need to do so for the length as already comfortable as it is.
If worried by the weight, I fully recommend looking to the guilloche /colours series which is about 5mm shorter and not as heavy.
